Merchandise Guidelines

We are asking for a maximum of 25 items of clothing and 3 pairs of shoes per person, which can be a mixture of sizes, styles and genders.

All merchandise accepted by The Robin’s Egg must be seasonally appropriate, currently in style, clean, odor free (including smoke and pet odors), freshly washed and in excellent condition. We want to help your clothing look the best it possibly can which means higher potential earnings for you. 

We will not accept items with stains, defects, tears, or any other type of damage. New, like new or gently used items are preferred for best resale potential. Shoes and boots must be clean top and bottom and in excellent condition. Please check your items carefully for imperfections. Don’t forget the pockets for lost treasures! Any flaws found after drop off may result in donation.  

Size ranges: Newborn to size 10/12 

We only accept clothing items for consignment. 

  • Baby: Kyte Baby, Posh Peanut, Magnetic Me, anything made of organic cotton, bamboo and natural fibers. Double zipped pajamas, easy to wear styles.

  • Clothing Brands: Crewcuts, Boden, Hanna Andersson, Zara, Primary, Tea, Janie & Jack, Vineyard Vines, Abercrombie, Gap, Patagonia, other high quality everyday styles.

  • Shoes: Stride Rite, See Kai Run, Nike, Converse, Vans, Toms, Crocs, Natives, other similar brands or styles. Rain boots and snow boots sell very well.

Please have all clothing “floor ready”- freshly cleaned, pressed, snapped, buttoned, zipped, and neatly folded in a paper or reusable shopping bag that will be left in the shop.

Items we do not accept:

  • No Amazon, A Children’s Place, Carter's, Walmart, Kohl's, H&M, Target, TJ Maxx, Marshall’s, Old Navy, Justice, and similar brands.

  • New or pre-owned toys. We carefully select new toys and gifts and specialty brands not easily found locally. We have found that there is a need for locally sourced Montessori, Waldorf and Open-Ended Play high quality options.

  • Crib shoes, school uniforms, sports gear or uniforms, linens, baby gear (strollers, car seats, cribs, etc).

  • Used- underwear, socks & stockings, swim diapers.

During your drop off, items will be carefully inspected for consignment. Please note that it may not be possible to accept all items due to a variety of reasons including brand, season, current floor space, or ability to sell. Anything deemed a 'no thank you" will be returned in the moment. Thank you for your understanding.

The consignment period is 60 days after which all unsold items become property of The Robin's Egg, LLC. 

 

Pricing will be based on considerations such as brand, fair market value, condition, and clientele demand. We are very transparent and up front with your inventory. You may use our links to check your account balance at any time and see what has sold. 

When you use your store balance in the shop, you receive a “boost” and your 60/40 split becomes 50/50. In essence you receive an extra 10% towards your purchase as our thank you for shopping in our store. 

When you become a consignor, you become a partner; please like and share our posts on social media. Talk about us to friends and family. Also, feel free to use our pictures to direct people to the store to buy your items.
